My barista in Austin said my pour-over was way too fast

She showed me how to grind finer and pour slower, and the flavor got so much richer. Anyone have a go-to bean for a really slow, heavy pour method?

Interesting, I've had the opposite happen. A really fast pour can sometimes give a cleaner cup, less bitter. Maybe it depends on the bean.

Try a faster pour with lighter roasts, @linda_reed, but slow it down for darker beans to cut the bitter taste.

Yeah, coffee stuff can get confusing. Honestly just do what tastes good to you.
