My cousin told me to stop buying single issues and just wait for the trades

He said it for years, but I kept buying weekly books. Then I moved and had to pack up my collection. It took 45 boxes and cost over $300 to ship. I finally switched to trades for new series and saved so much space and cash. Now I only grab singles for my absolute favorite runs. Anyone else make a big switch like that and wish they did it sooner?

Oh man, that "space thing" is no joke. I had a closet full of single issues from a few years back, just boxes and boxes. Tried to sell them at a con and barely made enough for gas money home. Now I only grab trades for older stories and save my singles cash for the two or three current series I'm totally hooked on. Makes everything so much easier to actually enjoy.

Your cousin was onto something. Saw a video where a guy filled a whole storage unit with single issues and couldn't even sell them for the price of the unit. The space thing is real. Trades just make sense for catching up, saves the singles budget for stuff you really love.
