Vent: I tried debunking a local 'haunted' bridge story with a simple audio recorder.

Everyone in my town near Asheville swears the old railroad bridge whispers names, but after recording for six hours overnight, I found it was just water dripping through a rusted pipe echoing. I posted the clean audio file online and got called a 'fed' by three different accounts in the comments. Has anyone else faced that kind of pushback when you bring actual data into a local legend?

Forget the fed stuff, they just don't want their ghost story ruined. Good work on finding the real cause.

Honestly I was totally on the ghost train for years, the whole "Shadow People" thing at the old factory. Then I saw the report about the carbon monoxide levels from that faulty boiler. It was like 800 parts per million in the basement. That stuff causes hallucinations and a feeling of dread. Changed my whole view on it. Sometimes the boring answer is just the real one.

Isn't it wild how many spooky stories might just be bad air?
