Had the worst client day of my career last Tuesday
I had three back to back meltdowns - one client cried because I suggested bangs, another accused me of thinning her hair when I was just layering, and the third asked for a refund on a balayage she approved in the mirror 20 minutes earlier. Is this just a bad luck thing or does anyone else have days where nothing goes right?

Tell you what, I actually see it different. Think about the bangs lady - maybe she was already having a rough day and your suggestion just pushed her over the edge. The thinning hair thing sounds like she didn't understand what layering does, which happens all the time with new clients. And that balayage one, well she probably got home and saw it in different light or her friend told her something. Sometimes it's not about you messing up, it's about people coming in with hidden stress or wrong expectations they don't tell you about. I've had days where three people in a row blamed me for stuff that had nothing to do with my work.

Oh PLEASE, @betty_perry24, you're giving these clients way too much credit.

I get where you're coming from, but I see it a little different, betty_perry24. I hear the point about clients having bad days, and yeah that happens sometimes. But in my experience, if three people in a row are blaming you for the same kind of thing, it's worth looking at what you're doing too. Like the bangs lady - I had a client last year who cried about her bangs, then came back two weeks later saying they were the best she ever had because she just needed to wash and style them herself first. Sometimes it's not hidden stress, it's just people not knowing how to work with their new cut. Take that with a grain of salt though, your mileage may vary.
