That whole week in Nashville when everything went wrong at once

I drove down to Nashville to help a buddy move his restaurant equipment, and the first day the U-Haul broke down on I-40. We lost a whole day just waiting for a replacement truck, and then on Tuesday the dolly wheel snapped off while we were rolling a freezer across the sidewalk. By Thursday, I dropped an 80-pound crate of dishes on my foot right outside the back door. What made it stand out was how every little thing just kept piling up, like the universe was testing me. Has anyone else had a moving job that turned into a total disaster like that?

Moving a freezer with a bad dolly sounds pretty normal to me, not some cosmic test.

Wait, are you saying people actually think moving a heavy freezer with a bad dolly is some kind of life test from the universe? That's wild to me. I've done it myself a few times and it's just a hassle, not a deep spiritual experience. You're right, it's totally normal to struggle with a crappy dolly and just want to get the job done. Sometimes things are just annoying without having to be a big metaphor about your character or whatever. Honestly, I think some folks overthink things way too much.

Borrow a furniture dolly with the four swivel wheels next time. Those two-wheeled dollies are garbage for anything over 200 pounds. Tape a moving blanket around the freezer too, stops it from sliding sideways when you hit a crack in the concrete.
