I finally cracked that 'water fuel' scam video from last week

That viral clip showing a guy running his truck on tap water had over 2 million views before I checked it. Turns out the hose he claimed was water line was just a clear fuel line feeding from a hidden gas can under the truck bed. I traced the setup frame by frame - there's even a YouTube debunk from a guy in Phoenix who rebuilt the exact rig and proved it. Has anyone else caught the editing tricks in that video or found more evidence?

Good eye catching that fuel line trick.

Yeah I saw a writeup somewhere that said the same thing about those older Fords actually... apparently the rubber lines get soft over time and clamping them wrong can cause a pinhole leak later on. My neighbor's buddy had one split right at the clamp mark and sprayed fuel everywhere. I always just use the proper disconnect tool now even if it takes an extra minute... cheaper than buying a new line or dealing with a fire risk.

Huh, I actually look at that trick a little different. The way I see it, that fuel line trick can mess with your fuel pressure if you're not careful. Seen a buddy clamp off a rubber line on his Ford and the pump ended up working way too hard for a minute. To me, its just safer to pinch the line with a good pair of pliers or use a proper disconnect tool, something that won't risk cracking the hose. Most folks don't realize how much pressure is still in those lines even when the engine is off.
