Question about a political ad I saw at the bus stop downtown
I was waiting for the bus on Main Street yesterday and this digital ad screen was playing a campaign video. The candidate's mouth looked weird, like it was slightly out of sync with his words. It made me think of the 'blinking' trick you guys talk about for spotting fakes, so I watched for a full minute. Sure enough, his blinks were totally random and didn't match when he was taking a breath to speak. Has anyone else caught a deep fake in a local ad like that? I'm wondering how common this is getting.

Honestly thought that stuff was just for big elections. Seeing it at a bus stop changes things. It's way more common than I figured.

Yeah, it really hits different when you see it in your own neighborhood. Makes it feel less like a far-off news story and more like something that's actually happening around you. Kind of unsettling, right?

Yeah, it's wild... I was squinting at a yard sign the other day trying to see if the smile looked real. Max_cooper21 is right about it feeling different up close. Makes me feel like I need to become some kind of human lie detector just to walk down the street, and I can barely tell if my own reflection is blinking right. Kind of a low bar for my detective skills, honestly.
