Can we talk about how I finally gave up on the 'slow travel' thing last month in Lisbon

After 3 years of moving every 4-6 weeks, I realized the constant hunt for good wifi and a quiet cafe was burning me out more than any 9-5 ever did. Anyone else find the 'live like a local' pace just doesn't work for their actual job?

The hunt for a good spot to work becomes a second job. My last apartment in Rome had a beautiful balcony, but the internet cut out every afternoon. You end up planning your day around connection speeds, not local life. That's not slow travel, it's just stressful logistics with a nicer view.

So @nancy_king29, what's the worst workaround you've had to try just to get a stable signal?

Yeah, that's the thing, it's not really slow travel if you're just working from a different place. Nancy_king29 is right about it being a second job.
