Found a quiet coworking spot in Chiang Mai that nobody talks about

Tbh I was getting tired of the loud cafes around Nimman so I started looking for alternatives. I found this little place called Punspace near Tha Phae Gate that has way better wifi and cheaper day passes. It's only 150 baht for a full day and they give you free water and tea. Has anyone else found a hidden gem coworking space in SEA that's not on all the blog lists?

Tbh I was getting tired of the loud cafes around Nimman" - oh I feel this so much. I spent a whole week hopping between cafes there and gave up because the wifi was so spotty. Punspace sounds like a lifesaver, 150 baht with free tea is such a steal. I haven't found anything that cheap or quiet in SEA yet, but I'm making a note to check Punspace next time I'm in Chiang Mai. It's nice to hear about a place that's not just another Instagram cafe charging 300 baht for a latte.

I counted seven different places in Nimman that charged over 200 baht just to sit and use their wifi for an hour. It's like they all copied the same business model from some playbook, charging for vibe instead of coffee. Punspace is one of the few spots that actually gets it, keeping things simple and cheap so people can just work. I've noticed this trend everywhere now, places that look amazing but forget they're supposed to be functional. Reminds me of how my local gym added a smoothie bar and raised the membership fee, but half the treadmills are still broken. Feels like we're paying for a lifestyle brand sometimes instead of just a decent place to be.

Grant155, I gotta push back a little here. Punspace is fine for what it is, but the 150 baht gets you a desk in a room that feels like a sad office from 2005. The free tea is literally just Lipton bags in lukewarm water. I've been to a few of those 200 baht cafes in Nimman and honestly, at least they have decent pour-overs, proper lighting, and outlets that aren't all loose and popping out. The vibe tax is real, sure, but sometimes the vibe is part of what keeps me from falling asleep on my keyboard. If I just needed a chair and wifi, I'd sit at the Starbucks on the corner. Those spots charging more usually have good single-origin coffee and don't blast Thai pop music at 11am. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
