Used to mud with a 6-inch knife until a guy in Phoenix set me straight

For like 5 years I only used a 6 inch taping knife for everything. Then last summer a old timer on a job in Phoenix showed me how much faster a 10 inch works for bedding tape. Now I switch between a 6 and a 10 depending on the spot. Anyone else stick with one size too long before realizing you need both?

My old man swore by a 4 inch until his thumb went numb and he finally caved to a 6.
