Warning: I bought a cheap corner trowel that cost me a whole afternoon

The flex was so bad I had to redo every seam in a 12x12 room. Anyone got a brand that actually holds its shape?

I had the same problem with a plastic handled one from a big box store. It was like trying to spread mud with a wet noodle. I switched to a Marshalltown stainless steel corner trowel about three years ago. The thing has zero flex and the corners come out sharp every time. It costs more but you only buy it once.

Holly's right about the "buy it once" thing. But I'm curious about the Marshalltown. Did you get the one with the blue handle or the all metal one. I've seen both. The blue handle one is a bit cheaper. Wondering if the metal one is worth the extra cash for a weekend warrior.

That "you only buy it once" thing is the real life cheat code for so much stuff now.
