The year I stopped handling my dad's meds myself

Used to manage all seven of my dad's pill bottles myself because I didn't trust the pharmacy to get it right. Then I dropped one of his blood pressure bottles in the sink and lost two pills down the drain. Switched to a weekly pill organizer from CVS that I fill every Sunday morning, costs me $6 and saves me about 20 minutes a day. Has anyone else had a close call that made them change how they handle medications?

Two pills? That's more of a bad morning than a crisis.

Actually downplaying someone else's pain just because your own threshold is different is a quick way to make them feel worse. A couple pills can mean a lot to the person taking them, especially if they're dealing with side effects or a condition that's quietly kicking their ass. Being dismissive about it isn't a good look, even if it seems minor to you.
