Shoutout to the crew that helped me with a stuck governor in Cincinnati last month

We were on a 15-story traction job and the governor rope just wouldn't seat right. Their lead guy, Mike, spotted a tiny burr on the sheave groove I'd missed. Anyone run into something similar on a newer Montgomery unit?

Honestly, a tiny burr causing that much trouble? Seems a bit overblown. Those governor ropes are tough. I've seen them run with way worse wear and not bind up. Maybe it was already on the edge and that was the final straw, but calling it out like a major find feels like making a mountain out of a molehill.

Remember the 2018 Mill Creek incident? The NTSB report said a 0.5mm burr on the sheave caused the exact same failure.
