Unpopular opinion: I think those 'smart' water bottles that track your intake are a total fad, but my wife swears they're the future.

Ugh, hard pass. I already have enough stuff tracking me. Do we really need our water bottles snitching on us too?

Wait, do you think it actually sends data somewhere? I'm pretty sure the tracking is just for you to see on the app... like a step counter that doesn't leave your phone.

My friend got a smart scale that uploaded her weight to a social fitness app without telling her. It was supposed to be private, but it shared a chart with her workout buddies. She was so mad. It just makes you wonder what else is quietly sending info out.
