My mom's group chat is convinced a local park fountain cures headaches

Three people sent the same blurry video of a woman drinking from it and saying her migraine vanished. I checked the city's water quality reports from April, and that fountain is on the same line as the public restrooms, with no special treatment. The original video poster sells crystal-infused water bottles for $50 each. Has anyone else seen a hoax that started from someone just trying to sell stuff?

Yeah @emma_rodriguez30 is right, same line as public restrooms is just gross. It's rough how folks will believe anything if someone's trying to make a buck off them.

The best thing you can do is forward them the city's water report and ask if they'd drink out of the restroom sink. That usually shuts down the "miracle water" talk pretty quick.

Same line as the public restrooms? That's nasty.

Ever had that happen at a gas station? I just started checking the side of the building before I go in. Found a separate spigot around back once that was way cleaner.
