Realized I was the fake outrage after that town council meeting last Tuesday
Spent 30 minutes ranting about a zoning change I read on Facebook, then actually showed up and found out the poster had the wrong street numbers. Felt like a total idiot. Anyone else catch themselves getting fired up before checking the source?

Yeah done that before. It's humbling when you realize you were the problem. Facebook really knows how to get people worked up over nothing.

Hard disagree, sometimes Facebook is designed to make people argue. Blaming yourself for reacting to a platform built on outrage feels a little generous to the algorithm.
