Tbh that Monday in June with the three draft horses was a real test

Honestly, I had three Percherons booked back to back at a farm outside Lexington. The first one was a bit of a dancer and I had to redo a hind shoe twice. By the third horse, my back was screaming but the owner brought out cold lemonade and just sat talking with me for twenty minutes. It wasn't the work, it was that bit of kindness that got me through the day. Anyone else have a client gesture that just saved a rough one?

Three Percherons in one day? How are you even walking after that? I've done two big drafts back to back and thought my arms were going to fall off. That owner sounds like a real one, bringing out lemonade and just hanging out. That kind of thing makes all the difference when you're completely wrecked.

Right? That lemonade move is pure class. Had a client last summer who brought out a whole cooler of ice towels after we cleared a fallen oak in 95 degree heat. Almost cried from how good it felt.

Totally makes the job worth it. Those little things are everything.
