Heard a 'haul' influencer say their $5 top was 'just as good' as linen. I washed it once.
The thing shrank two sizes and the seams split. Has anyone else had a viral item completely fail the first wash test?

Ugh, that's the worst. Saw a whole article about how these fast fashion brands use cheap fabric that can't handle water or heat. It's basically paper. They make it look good once for the video, then it's trash. Your story proves it. Not worth the closet space, let alone the money.

No way, the seams split too? I mean, I've had stuff shrink into kid sizes before, but completely falling apart after one wash is next level bad. It's crazy they even try to compare that to linen. Makes you wonder what that fabric is actually made of, like glue and wishes maybe.
