Caught a detail in the flooring adhesive label that stopped me mid-job

I was slapping down some glue-down LVP Tuesday on a big commercial job in Phoenix and glanced at the adhesive can while waiting for it to tack up. The fine print said the cure time jumps from 4 hours to about 18 if the humidity goes over 65 percent. That blew my mind because I never double checked weather reports. None of my guys knew that either and we've been rushing these installs for years. Has anyone else ran into a stat like that on a product you use daily?

Damn that's a real eye opener. So does that mean every summer job you've done during monsoon season here was basically a ticking time bomb for the floor to fail? I'm wondering now if any of your past installs have curled or lifted and you just blamed it on the material instead of the glue setup.

Welp, guess I've been blaming the floor glue for my own bad timing.

Did I just learn I've been installing fancy failure floors for 5 years?
