Rant: My payment processor just froze my account with $2,800 in it

It happened last Thursday, right after a big client deposit hit, and they said it was a 'routine review' that could take 30 days. I'm scrambling to cover bills while they hold my money hostage. Has anyone else had a payment platform do this, and what's the fastest way to get them to unlock it?

My friend's shop had $1,900 held for a 45-day "security check". Angela_Patel75 is right, it's a common nightmare.

Was it a new shop or did they have a sudden spike in sales? That seems like a long time to hold funds.
