Appreciation post: I spent $80 on a premium Crunchyroll subscription for a year and it saved me from missing the new season of my favorite show...

I almost missed the premiere of the new 'Frieren' episodes because my old free account had so many ads and lag that I gave up trying to watch it, but the subscription let me watch everything smoothly right when it dropped in Japan.

Saw a post where someone's laptop got a virus from a pop-up ad on a free anime site... the repair bill was brutal.

That's a solid deal honestly. My buddy got so mad at the buffering on a free site during a big fight scene in Jujutsu Kaisen that he threw his phone. Cracked the screen and everything. A subscription would've been cheaper.

Oh man, that reminds me of my cousin. He was using some sketchy stream for the finale of his favorite show. The video froze right on the big villain reveal. He got so frustrated he punched his couch cushion. But his hand slipped and he hit the wooden armrest instead. Broke his pinky finger. Had to wear a cast for weeks. Legit the most expensive free episode of TV ever.
