My client's kid asked me why I always say 'I mean' before giving an opinion

She's 8, and she just said it makes me sound unsure. Now I'm overthinking every sentence I type online, has anyone else had a simple comment totally change how you talk?

My cousin pointed out I say "literally" wrong all the time. Now I pause for a full second every time I'm about to say it, it's so annoying.

Wait your cousin actually corrected you mid sentence? Like called you out while you were talking? That's brutal honestly, I'd rather someone just let me keep saying it wrong forever than have that awkward moment.
