Trying to get my old blog posts to show up in searches again

My site traffic dropped a lot after a Google update last fall, and I was stuck for months. I read about something called 'internal linking' on a site called Search Engine Journal, so I went back and added links from my 15 newest posts to 3 older ones each. After about 6 weeks, I started seeing those old pages get clicks again. Has anyone else tried this kind of link fix after an update, and did it work for you?

Internal linking helped me too... I added links from my homepage to some older posts that had dropped off. It took a couple months, but they slowly started getting found again. That kind of cleanup seems to send a better signal.

It's wild how much old content just gets lost in the shuffle. I found a post from like 2018 that still had good info, so I linked to it from a newer article. Did you notice any change in traffic to the newer page too?

Yeah, linking old posts gave my new page a small boost too. It's like Google notices you're connecting the dots.
