My Sunday batch baking habit is kinder to the planet (and my AC)

By baking everything at once, I cut down on oven pre-heating cycles. It uses less energy and honestly, keeps my kitchen cooler too.

Wastes food if you don't eat it all.

It’s a real struggle to find that sweet spot. I totally get the worry about food going bad. In my house, we lean hard on the freezer for muffins or bread. Sometimes we’ll even give a loaf to a neighbor, which feels good. Planning a couple of meals for the week around what we bake helps a ton too.

And that's a common balance act, saving energy while watching waste. @rodriguez.mia has a point about food going bad if you bake too much. I usually freeze leftovers or plan meals around the baked goods. How do you handle extra food from big cooking days?
