Ngl, I just read that a single rotisserie chicken can make like 4 different meals

Honestly, I was looking up cheap meal ideas on a food blog called Budget Bytes last night. The post broke down how to use every bit of one $7 chicken from the grocery store. It said you get the main dinner, then soup from the bones, sandwiches from the leftovers, and even a stir fry from the scraps. Tbh, I always just ate the chicken and tossed the rest. Has anyone else tried stretching one chicken this far and did it actually work?

Sounds like a lot of work just to avoid throwing out some bones. My leftover chicken usually becomes a science experiment in the back of the fridge. The blog makes it sound easy, but I know my lazy reality.

Right? The blog version of me would do it, but real me just stares at the sad chicken container until trash day.

Oh man, it's totally worth it. I started doing this and that pot of soup from the bones is the best part, it's basically free food. You just throw the carcass in a pot with some old veggies and water for a few hours. It feels way less wasteful and my grocery bill is lower.

Seriously, the lazy way is the only way it happens. Toss the bones in a freezer bag with your onion ends and sad celery. When the bag is full, dump it in a slow cooker before bed. Wake up to broth, strain it, and you're done. Zero effort cooking.
