Had the worst Tuesday with my grocery budget in ages

I swear every item I grabbed last Tuesday seemed to jump $2-$3 over what I usually pay, and my total hit $187 for just a week of basics. Has anyone else noticed their regular store in Phoenix cranking prices on things like eggs and bread way more than usual lately?

Your eggs are $7.99 a dozen there? My Fry's still has them for $4.29.

Betty_perry24 you're lucky because this whole egg thing is just one piece of a MUCH bigger picture I keep seeing. My local grocery store raised the price of a loaf of bread by a dollar and the milk went up almost two dollars in the same month. It feels like every single thing we buy has gone up, not just eggs. I was at the dollar store last week and even their stuff is now a buck fifty or two dollars. The prices on everything are just slowly creeping up and it makes you feel like you can't keep up.

Honestly, it's like every single receipt is a gut punch now. I swear I used to walk out of the store with a full cart for under a hundred bucks and now I'm lucky to get a few bags for the same money.
