The moral tug-of-war over my shared gym membership

My friend and I split one gym pass to save cash, since the front desk never really looks at the photo. We agreed on separate days, but last week we both showed up and had to act like strangers. It saves us each thirty bucks a month, which feels great until I get that twinge of guilt. Kinda funny how saving money can make you feel like a sneaky kid again.

Ever feel like guilt is the new membership fee?

My local coffee shop has a punch card system that gets passed around three different roommates. That low grade guilt is just part of the modern discount now.

Remember hearing this is weirdly common at gyms.

Yeah, that tracks. A buddy of mine does exactly that, so lucast81 is totally right about it being common.
