I finally watched that influencer's apology video frame by frame
The one from Chloe Vance last Tuesday. She kept looking down and to the left, which a body language expert on YouTube says is a classic sign of reading a script, not speaking from the heart. The 'I'm sorry you were hurt' phrasing felt like a total non-apology too. Has anyone else noticed celebs using that exact line more often lately?

It's not just celebs. My boss used that same "sorry you were hurt" line in a team email after a bad decision. It's a corporate script now, a way to sound like you care without taking real blame. The body language thing tracks too, they all look like they're reading from a legal note.

My old company's HR department had a whole list of these fake apology phrases. Honestly it's just damage control with nicer words.

Your boss actually used that line in an email?
