Just ran my first 500-part order with zero scrap and I'm still a bit shocked

It was for a local shop making small aluminum brackets, and I had to hold a plus or minus two thou tolerance on the bore. I checked the first part, the middle part, and the last part on the CMM, and they were all spot on. The machine just hummed along for two full days without a single alarm or tool change needed. I've never had a run go that smooth before. Has anyone else ever hit a perfect run on a bigger job like that, or did I just get lucky?

Nah, that's not luck, that's just your setup and prep work paying off. A run that smooth means you did everything right before you even hit cycle start.

That feeling is the best reward for good prep work.
