I always rolled my eyes at news stories about robot baristas. Then I saw one in person at a tech meetup last Saturday. The bot made my cappuccino faster than any human could. It was consistent too, no mess or wrong orders. The team running it showed data on how it saves money on spills. Now I get why more shops are testing these systems. It's not just a flashy trick, it actually works well.

My backyard bot kept drifting until I checked the sensor mounts

I built a small robot for garden patrol, but it would always drift to the left after a few minutes. I finally saw the left wheel encoder was loose, and tightening the screw on the mount fixed the steering completely. How do you secure delicate parts on projects that move around a lot?

I think robotic tools are sold before they're ready for real shops. Last month, a new arm kept dropping parts because its grip was too weak. Honestly, I keep hearing updates on autonomous vehicles but they still cause traffic jams in tests. Tbh, I think fixing our old infrastructure with smart maintenance bots would help people more right now. Ngl, why isn't this getting more attention in the news?
