Got a call back for a fence I put up in Phoenix two years ago

The whole line was leaning because the concrete footings were only 18 inches deep in that hard clay soil. I mean, I followed the code, but the ground just moved on me. How do you guys handle post depth in really dry, shifting dirt like that?

My bullet journal choice: a big notebook or a small one?

I had to pick between a big A4 notebook and a small A6 one for my new journal. I went with the small one, thinking it would be easier to carry to work. After a month, my daily logs are cramped and my weekly spreads feel messy. Has anyone else tried a small notebook and found a way to make it work, or should I just switch sizes?

Just realized that manual tool setting beats probe systems for tricky jobs

I get better results by setting tools manually rather than relying on the probe.

PSA: A coffee break chat with my coworker about his garage sale pile made me rethink my shed.

I was just stuffing things in boxes to hide the mess. Now I label everything and it saves so much time when I need a tool.

I can't figure out why my homemade bookcase has a permanent list to starboard.

Every time I glance at it, I half expect to see a tiny captain trying to steer it straight in a storm.
