inMy uncle said to always use a torque wrench on aluminum heads, even if it takes longer.
Right? What's the worst example you've seen of someone ignoring that rule and paying for it big time? I watched a buddy try to cut corners on a project last year, and it blew up in his face so bad. He ended up redoing the whole thing from scratch, took him three times as long. Learned that lesson the hard way, just like the rest of us lol.

inWhy does the reporting on that factory closure ignore the union history?
Ever wonder how many news stories we only read the headlines for? It takes real digging to find the full timeline like Barbara did, instead of just the "sudden" event they sell you. Guess that's why my understanding of most things is about two inches deep.

inShowerthought: My home mix of green tea and aloe for a cooling gel might be too weak for sunburn clients.
Actually, I just used a bit on my own mild sunburn to see how long it lasted.

inDAE feel like old school question asking taught you more?
Heard a podcast say that the hunt for answers used to build better mental maps... When you dig through books or ask around, you connect ideas in your head. Getting an instant answer online just gives you the destination without the journey.

inTIL that reading book summaries before club meetings is not lazy
Summaries can SPARK deeper questions during the talk. When I used a recap for a dense historical novel, it highlighted the main themes, so I could ask about character motives instead of just plot points. This turns the meeting from a memory test into a REAL debate about ideas. More people might join in if they're not worried about forgetting every little detail.
